In the early days of mobile phones, when it comes to file-sharing, Bluetooth and Infra-Red were the kings; at that time, phones weren’t smart, and these means of file-sharing aren’t effective. Later, phones became smart, but neither Xender app nor Xender Web has been designed.
To transfer files between their smartphones and computer, people resorted to either Bluetooth or USB cord, but there are some limitations. Bluetooth is very slow, and larger files can’t be transferred. USB cords get lost and get damaged easily.
For these reasons, some nice folks develop the Xender app back in 2012 in China, to help solve the problem. Now, we can share files easily with many other applications, aside from Xender. Xender Web: The Two Major Ways of Sharing Files on Android Phone
There are two major ways by which you can share files between your computer and Android phone via Xender Web. The first way requires the use of the internet, and it is always advisable you have more than enough data and fast internet to use the method.
The second way requires the use of the hotspot on your Android device and WiFi on your computer; this second method is the most preferred for many people as it is faster, and doesn’t require the use of the internet. In fact, this second method is the selling point of Xender.
Let go through each method.
How to Use Xender Web for Android With Internet
- To use Xender Web on your PC with internet, launch the Google Chrome browser or your preferred browser on the computer
- Go to the address bar of the browser and type https://192.168.1.101.33455. Alternatively, you can use this web address: http://web.xender.com. You will still be taken to the same web page, and the page has a QR code displayed on it. You will need code later

- Then tap on Connect PC, and you will see two option: WEB CONNECT and HOT SPOT. By default, the WEB CONNECT is selected
- The next step now is to tap on the option that says SCAN
- Finally, use your Android phone camera to scan the QR code displayed on the above-mentioned webpage. Everything being equal, the code would be scanned, your phone would connect to your computer through the Xender Web page, and you will be able to import and export files
NB: Don’t forget that this method requires that you have a strong internet connection, both your phone and computer.
How to Use Xender Web for Android Without Internet

- Go to the WiFi option on your computer and turn it on
- Install Xender app if you don’t have it already

- Once your computer has connected to the AndroidShare_**** network, the time is right to connect to the Xender Web
- Open Google Chrome or your favourite computer browser
- Go to the address bar and enter 192.168.43.1:33455 – that’s the link to getting to the Xender Web page without the internet

Accessing Xender Web With iPhone
If you own an iOS device, accessing Xender Web so that you can send and receive files is almost the same as that of Android. So, just open the app, and find where you can connect to PC. And then follow the steps needed to pair the two devices: your iOS device and your computer.
Xender for PC?
Judging by its amazing features, no doubt, Xender is a wonderful app, and everybody would want to have it on their device no matter the operating system one uses. This has led to people looking for the computer (PC and Mac) version of the app.
Sadly, it appears the developers of the app aren’t interested in making Xender for PC. The only way to use Xender on a computer is through Xender Web.
You may read it in other places online that you can get a sort of Xender for PC, by using Android emulator such as Bluestack. Yes, “that’s true.” With Bluestack and other Android emulators, you can simulate the app on your computer; however, the app wouldn’t function well, as it wouldn’t be able to read the files on your computer.
Therefore, whenever you need to use Xender on your computer, use the Xender Web steps discussed above
