Each Network Has Its Center Number
To make things not get complicated in the cyberspace where SMSC is located, each network provider has its own centre number; thus, Vodafone message centre number – which helps to routes message between the users of the network provider. To add the number to your phone settings, go to the default SMS app on your device. Then locate “Text Message” or “SMS” settings. Then locate the “ SMS service centre” or something related to that. Finally, paste the number above in the provided box and tap OK to activate the number.

Fixing the Problem with Vodafone UK
If you live in the United Kingdom and use the Vodafone network but have issue sending message, a quick fix is to set your Vodafone message centre number to +447785016005. At the same time, set you “Message Format” to text. Finally, send a “text” to 9770. If you receive a message from Vodafone after sending that, then the problem is solved.
When Issue Isn’t Yet Fix
It is possible to paste the above Vodafone message centre number in your settings but yet the issue isn’t resolved. When this happens, it can be that your SMS storage is full – if they are being saved into the SIM card memory; this can prevent you from receiving new text messages, as there is no space to store them – you should be able to send text messages, though.
