As always recommended, ensure that your phone’s battery is at least 90% charged before starting the update. Also un-root your phone, if you have root access on it.
Steps to Downloading and Installing Tecno L9 Plus Nougat Update
- Navigate to Settings on your phone.
- Scroll to About Phone and tap on it.
- Then tap on System Update and let the Nougat update load.
- Then tap on Download and Install.
The Tecno L9 Plus Nougat Update firmware will be downloaded and installed on your phone. During the installation, your phone will restart and at the end, your phone OS will be in Android 7.0 Nougat.
Note: The firmware update is about 750MB; so make sure you have 1GB of data to spend on the update.

In as much as you haven’t installed custom ROM, it will work. Make sure you are unrooted before trying the update.

I live in Nigeria too. Tecno products are good. You can buy the fairly used Tecno L9 if you can afford it. But be careful not to be scammed. However, if you can be patient and get more money buying a new phone is better. Check out Tecno Spark Plus K9 and Tecno Spark K7. They are the latest Tecno phones and they are good.
