Selfie drone unveils at the on-going CES trade show

The 2018 edition of CES, the annual technology trade show, is currently going on in Las Vegas, and as usual, future gadgets are on display. One of the impressive gadgets that have been exhibited in the show is the selfie drone – a selfie shooter that doesn’t require you to stretch your hand or use the selfie stick to capture good selfies.

The selfie drone, named Selfly, is unveiled by the camera and recording company AEE, and the aim of introducing Selfly is to make it replace the selfie stick. To use Selfly, you would unclip it from the back of your phone case, which is designed to house the selfie drone. After unclipping it, you make it hover to the perfect height and take the perfect selfie.

Selfly comes with Sony sensors and can record, live stream and take photos in 1080p and 60fps. The case that houses the selfie drone is under half an inch thick and is designed to comfortably serve as a phone case for iPhones and most Android phones.

Selfly will start selling in March for $130; however, its separate charging hub will cost extra $30. When fully charged, the selfie drone can hover and take selfies and panoramic images for four minutes before the battery dies. Selfly is controlled using virtual joysticks or by a point-and-fly method and can fly up to 45 feet to take amazing selfies.
