Infinix Mobility has earlier announced that the Infinix Nougat update will be hitting Zero 4, Note 3, Hot 4 and the new S2. In order to make the update faster, the OEM has released an app, which makes updating to the operating system seamless, even on slow network connection.
The app is a system-update APK file that users can install on their phones and do the downloading of the Infinix Nougat update through it. Below is how to use the app to update Infinix Zero 4, Note 3, Hot 4 and the S2 to Android 7.0 Nougat

Before you start the update process, ensure your phone is connected to a power source or the battery percentage is at 90% and above. This is important, because the update may take a few minutes and it is not good for a phone to go off while running system update. It can corrupt the phone’s operating system.
When your phone is battery ready, and, of course data ready, proceed to the Nougat update as follow:
- Download the Infinix Nougat system-update APK.
- Install and launch the application.
- Allow the application to auto-scan and detect the Infinix Nougat update.
- Once the update is detected, tap on Download, and when the download is completed, run the update.
Your phone will restart after the completion of the installation of the update; and when your phone comes back to the home screen, it should be running the Infinix Nougat update.
