After several postponements, WhatsApp has finally stopped working on Blackberry and Windows Phone 8.0. This unfortunate event has left lots of the users of the two phones with no choice than to start running helter-skelter for money to buy Android phones.
If you use a Blackberry or Windows Phone 8.0 and can afford a new Android phone, you should go ahead and do the needful. However, if you can’t afford a new phone now, the little tweak in this post might be helpful to you.
I will be showing you how to make WhatsApp work again on your phone.
How to Use WhatsApp Again on Your BlackBerry and Windows Phone 8.0
There are some WhatsApp clone apps out there that you can use in place of WhatsApp, but if you don’t want to use these clones, this post will show the way to keep using your original WhatsApp.
To make your WhatsApp work again, go to Date and Time settings on your phone (Blackberry or Windows Phone 8.0). Uncheck the phone’s date and time settings from automatic, and backdate it to a recent date in the past – preferably you should change the date to December or November 2017.
After backdating the phone, restart your it, without launching WhatsApp. When the phone comes up, launch your WhatsApp and it should start working again. Good luck! Let me know in the comment if this does work for you. I did it on a friend’s Blackberry phone and it worked.
