Mobile banking through USSD code is the new way of life, and like other banks, UBA has its transfer code, which allows seamless money transfer, and its recharge code, which allows buying airtime directly from the bank. Nevertheless, it appears some customers of the bank are looking for more; they are looking for how to check UBA account balance via SMS. If you are one of these people, this post is for you.
But, I am sorry, instead of showing you how to check UBA account balance via SMS, I will be showing you how to check UBA account balance via USSD code. Why? Because at the moment, there is no way to check UBA account balance via SMS – you can only check your balance via the UBA Mobile Banking Code or the UBA Mobile Banking App.
And since the USSD code is faster than the app and doesn’t require Internet, I think it’s better to check your account balance using the code method.
Code for Checking UBA Account Balance
First, to be able to use the code for checking UBA account balance, you must have registered and linked your phone number to your account number. If that’s done already, then you will need to sign up for the UBA Banking Through USSD, now called UBA Magic Banking.
To register dial *919#, enter 6 and send. On UBA mobile banking portal, which opens after dialling the code, 6 is the option for checking UBA account balance.
Enter 1 and send, to sign up; follow the on-screen commands required for the sign-up. Don’t hesitate to contact the UBA phone number and email address displayed on the sign-up screen, if you have issues with the sign-up.
Ensure you successfully complete the sign-up.
To check your UBA account balance, after completing the sign-up and going forward, dial *919*00#, and your balance will be sent to you.
So instead of looking for how to check UBA account balance via SMS (which is at the moment not available and may not be available because USSD code is better), checking your balance using the steps above gets the job done, even faster than the UBA Mobile Banking app.
