Glo Data Share: How to Share Data on Glo
Glo data share can be used in three different ways; the first way is by dialling a long code that automatically shares your data with someone, and the second way is by dialling the Glo data portal code and then proceeding to the Glo data share option. The third way is through an SMS.
Here is how to share data on Glo using the three ways.
Through the Long Code
To share data on Glo using the long code, dial *127*01*Glo Number#; for example, if you were to share data with 08056784673 (a hypothetical Glo number), you would dial *127*01*08056784673#.
Through Glo Portal Code
The Glo data portal code is the USSD code that leads you to everything related to Glo data plan; the code — *777# — can be used to buy data, check data balance, gift data and share data. On how to share data on Glo using the code, proceed as follow
- Dial *777#
- Select 1, to choose your data plan
- Select 3, which stands for the option that says Share Data
- Then select 1.
- Then enter the Glo phone number of the person you want to share the data with
- Then confirm the sharing
Through SMS
Glo data share also works through an SMS, and that’s the reason the third way I will present to you on this post on how to share data on Glo is the SMS way. So if you forget the long code and the Glo data portal code, use this way.
Go to your SMS app, and send Share “Glo Number” to 127. Using the above hypothetical Glo phone number, the SMS would go in this format: Share 08056784673, and send the message to 127.
How to View Glo Data Shared Numbers
If you are someone that regularly use the Glo data share, it would be good for you to know how to view Glo data shared numbers; these are the phone numbers of people you shared your data with. To know the number that you shared your data with on Glo, dial *127*00#. If you want the SMS way, send List to 127
How to Remove Someone From Glo Data Share
This post on how to share data on Glo wouldn’t be complete if I don’t talk about how to remove someone from your data share. So to remove someone from Glo data share, dial *127*02*Glo Number#. Still using the hypothetical Glo number above, the code would be *127*02*08056784673#.
If you were to use SMS, you would send Remove 08056784673 to 127.
That’s how to share data on Glo, check the shared list, and remove people from the shared list. After every successful data sharing, a message would be sent to you and your data-sharing partner. You would get a message stating that you have shared your data while your data-sharing partner gets a message that states that a data has been shared with her.
