Glo has a dedicated Self-care subdomain on its website, and through the page of the subdomain, you can gift a Glo data plan. To use the Self-care page for Glo data gifting, proceed to it through this link. When you land on the web page, enter your Glo phone number and click on REQUEST OTP to get started with the steps on how to gift data on Glo
- Through Glo’s HIS Website
Aside from the above step on how to gift data on Glo, which involves using the Glo Self-care web page, you can as well gift someone a data through the Glo HIS website. The website generally gives you access to activating and deactivating Glo data plans and its related services. Visit hsi.glo.com to use the website for Glo data gifting.
- Through USSD Code
Definitely, a USSD code must be involved as almost everything in banking and telecommunication is now done through USSD codes. So to gift some a data through the USSD code, dial *127*[USSD_Plan_Number]*[friend’s number]#.

For example, if you were to gift you girlfriend, whose hypothetical Glo number is 08050684764, the ₦2500 Glo data, you would dial *127*55*08050684764#. 55 is the plan number for the ₦2500 Glo data.
- Through SMS
The final way to do Glo data gifting is through an SMS. You would just go to your SMS app and Send Gift [friend’s number] to 127. Using the hypothetical Glo number above, the SMS would be Gift 08050684764 to 127.
Now you have them, the different ways you can gift data on Glo. The first two methods require a browser and an internet connection. The last two work without internet. The four ways work, so choose the one that’s most convenient for you.
