Katangowa is in Agbado/OkeOdo LCDA of Lagos State. Also in the second tweet by the Lagos State Govt account, the relocation was done to curb environmental degradation, housing stock deficit, and traffic congestion around the area.

The new location for the Computer Village at ICT Park in  Katangowa measures 26 hectares, and it is believed to be larger than the present one in Ikeja.
