Mobile banking through USSD code has really made banking very easy. I have already shared with you the UBA transfer code, which allows you transfer money from your UBA account in a jiffy; now I will be sharing with you the UBA airtime recharge code.
The code does what its name is called – it helps you convert the money in your UBA account into airtime, which you can use to call on your phone. And the code not only works in recharging your own phone but also works in recharging the phone of your friends and family – and even your enemies (if you were kind enough to recharge the phone of your enemies.)
Here is how to use the UBA airtime recharge code
Using the UBA Airtime Recharge Code
Before you can use the UBA airtime recharge code to load credit to your phone, you must have already linked your phone number to your UBA bank account; if you haven’t, visit the nearest UBA office in your area to do the linking. When that is done, proceed as follow.
- On the phone number linked to your account, dial *919*Amount# — that’s the code string for recharging your own number (i.e. the number linked to the bank account). For example, if you were to load NGN 200 on your phone, you would dial *901*200#.
- To recharge another person’s phone number, dial *901*Phone Number*Amount#. For example, if you were to credit your mum’s phone number with NGN 1000, you would dial *919*Mum’s Phone Number*1000# — and after dialling the code, she would receive the alert and pray for you.
That’s it. If you ever forget the UBA airtime recharge code, dial the UBA USSD banking portal: *919#. From there you can navigate to the code for buying airtime. The code recharges airtime for the four major service providers in the country – MTN, Glo, Airtel and 9mobile.
