At the end of the registration, an 11-digit number, to be called Bank Verification Number (BVN), was given to each bank account owner in the country.
Once someone registers for BVN in one bank, he can then link it to his other accounts in the same bank or other banks.

As humans, we aren’t good in memorising numbers; in fact, some people don’t know their phone offhand – I trust that you aren’t one of them. The number is easy to check; just dial *565*0# on the SIM number you used in registering your BVN, and your 11-digit Bank Verification Number would be sent to you.
