Days ago, a new offer called Free Data Day was introduced by Glo, and according to the ISP, the offer was designed to reward its subscribers for their patronage. With the Glo Free Data Day offer, subscribers will be able to access the Internet for free for the 24 hours on a specified day. However, there are some terms and conditions that subscribers must meet before enjoying this offer.

How to Quality for Glo Free Data Day
To qualify for the Glo Free Data Day, you only need to spend a little money on voice calls and/or data; there is no special SMS code or USSD code to subscribe to the Glo Free Data Day. As a Glo subscriber, you are automatically qualified, but you must meet the following conditions:
- You must use a minimum of NGN250 on voice calls within 7 days.
- Or use a minimum of NGN150 on voice calls and a minimum of 100MB of data within 7 days.
You can buy the data as PayAsYouGo, or buy a 100MB data plan and finish it, or use 100MB of data on your previously subscribed Glo data plan.
How to Know You Have Qualified for The Glo Free Data Day
An SMS would be sent to you announcing that you will get the Free Data Day offer on a specific day. When you get that SMS, it means you have qualified for the offer; all you need do next is to meet the minimum voice calls and/or data conditions stated above.
How to Check Glo Free Data Day Balance
When you have gotten the SMS and met the required conditions for the Glo Free Data Day, you would be able to check your Glo Free Data Day balance on the free-data day. To check the balance, dial #122#. However, you must exhaust all the data within the given 24 hours or it will get wiped. Glo Free Data Day data doesn’t roll over, and you can only get it once in 7 days.
If you are already on a Glo data plan, the data plan would be suspended until you exhaust the data on the Free Data Day balance.
By critically looking at this offer, you would agree with me that it’s a good gesture from Glo. But the main concern now is the issue of network speed. Before now people are claiming that Glo’s network speed isn’t really fast; now that a free offer is coming in, wouldn’t that make it worse?
